Iconic Leopard Print 40’s Coat- to be more specific the design on this coat represents that closest to an ocelot, another type of spotted cat.

The Spotted Cat Design was worn by the most iconic American women such as Jacqueline Kennedy Onassis, Audrey Hepburn, and Marilyn Monroe. This textile design represents female prowess, power, elegance, and sex appeal. After Jacqueline Kennedy wore a leopard fur coat and hat, the leopard almost went extinct due to being poached as many women in America wanted to emulate her. 

-in excellent condition for a coat older than half at century 

-leopard print is in very good condition and soft, there seems to be one tiny spot where the design rubbed off from being closed and opened.

-hat is also in perfect condition and appears new and never worn, trimmed with what appears to be mink

-hat is a “pillbox” style and is meant more for aesthetic appeal than warmth 20” circumference around
