70s Suede Shearling Embroidered Coat Full Length White Genuine Afghan ICONIC 70's Penny Lane Rocker Almost Famous M/L

This is an Iconic 70's Coat! Take a time capsule back in time!

This is an extremely thick, heavy, and warm coat. Inside it is 100% fully lined with sheep shearling as you can see from the pictures above. The embroidery is rainbow colored against the backdrop of white suede. This is also full length! The closure is with two metal hooks, one on top near the neck and one in the middle.

A little bit of history on these coats--
"The Afghan coat made its debut appearance onto the London fashion scene in 1966, as the swinging city began to turn its attention towards all things of eastern and asian influence. They were first imported by Craig Sams, who then sold them on through various boutiques such as Granny Takes a Trip on the Kings Road, the popularity of the coats increased rapidly after the Beatles had been photographed wearing them. The original imports from the Ghazni province (which is situated between Kabul and Kandahar) were incredibly beautiful and elaborately decorated with hand embroidery by the local artisans."

This particular coat is in very good condition, but there are signs of use--whoever owned it was pretty careful, as for a white coat its in good shape. I took a picture of any spot that could be perceived as a flaw, so please ask for the photos because I couldn't fit them all here.

This could fit a size 4/6/and maybe eight. You must follow the measurements. .but please remember this:
The sheepskin on the inside is sooo thick, that you must take that into consideration even with the measurements.

40” around the bust (maybe take off 2 inches because the sheepskin lining is so thick)
40” around the waist
22" with shearling length of sleeve
50" long

This is a coat in very good condition. It is however vintage, and sometimes (though rarely) I miss tiny flaws. In this case, there are signs of use on the white suede--they do not bother me, but I do have extra pictures of any flaws, so please ask if you want to see, and/or zoom in to see the variations in the suede. I do not accept returns as a rule on size or tiny minuscule vintage flaws (like the kind you have to squint at or look under a magnifying glass). It is your responsibility to check the measurements.
